Homemade Rice Porridge with Cured Ham

Ingredients

  • 1 dl short grain rice
  • 2 dl water
  • 5 dl whole milk
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 40 g prosciutto

Method

  1. Boil the porridge rice and water until the water is boiled into the rice.
  2. Turn down the heat, and add the whole milk and salt. Let the porridge simmer for about 40 minutes, or until all the milk has boiled in. Stir regularly so that it does not scorch at the bottom.
  3. Mix sugar and cinnamon together.
  4. Serve the porridge with sugar and cinnamon mixture, butter and cured ham on the side.
