
Making porridge under det duvet is the best mom trick I have up my sleeve. With this recipe you don't have to stand over the pot stirring, or worry about the porridge burning. Set aside about 4 hours.
Ingredients
- 4 dl water
- 2 dl short grain rice
- ½ tsp salt
- 10 dl whole milk
Method
- Use a pot with a thick bottom. Add water, rice, and salt. Bring to a boil and let the rice simmer, stirring, until the water is almost evaporated. This takes about 10 minutes.
- Add whole milk and bring to a boil. Stir constantly to prevent burning.
- Remove the pot from the heat, and wrap it tightly with a kitchen towel. Place a cutting board on the bed, position the pot on the cutting board, and cover it with your duvet. Let it sit like that for 3 hours.
- Serve with sugar, cinnamon, and a dollop of butter.
